Guest requirements for staying at the mission facilities.
1. All guest must be physically able to take care of themselves. 2. Guests must have Personal ID. Staff may ask guests to get an identity check from the city or county police department before being allowed to stay at Harvest Rescue Mission. 3. Guests must not have been banned or evicted form any of the Toccoa Housing Authority facilities. 4. All guests must attend all church services and activities as required by Harvest Rescue Mission Staff. · Transportation furnished for off site activities. 5. Parents must be able to take care of their children and are responsible for their safety and well being. · Parents of infants must make nutritional provisions for their children. (Milk, Formula, Diapers, etc...) · Suspicion of child abuse or neglect will be turned over to the proper authorities. 6. During week days the staff may choose to lock all apartments between the hours of 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM. · At 6:30 AM guests will be expected to leave the premises of Harvest Rescue Mission. · During the hours between 6:30 AM and 5:30 PM, guests are expected to be seeking employment or a more permanent place of residence. · One parent of the family will be allowed stay while the other seeks provisions for care of these children during these hours when the apartments are closed. The parents will be given 3 working days to seek alternate care for their children. Apartments housing families may be left available during these hours as deemed necessary by Harvest Rescue Mission Staff. 7. All guests are on a probationary period of 5 days from the beginning of their arrival. At this time the staff will evaluate their willingness to obey all rules, seek employment or seek a more permanent place of residence during their stay at Harvest Rescue Mission facilities. 8. All guest meeting the probationary period requirements will be granted 25 additional days free of charge provided they continue to abide by all rules while staying at Harvest Rescue Mission. 9. An additional 60 days of stay can be provided at a cost of $5.00 a day per person. The $5.00 will be paid on a daily bases. The 60 day stay has to be approved by staff members. Individuals must have full time employment at beginning of the 60 day period and maintain employment through the 60 day period.
Harvest Rescue Mission stance of Alcohol and Drugs
Harvest Rescue Mission will make every attempt to keep the premises free from Alcohol and Drugs. Staff may choose to make inspection of the outside and inside premises of each apartment with out warning. Also Harvest Rescue Mission may choose to have the local authorities to assist or perform inspection of apartments on drug suspicion without warning. After being admitted in Harvest Rescue Mission, any guest suspected of Alcohol or Drug abuse may be asked to leave immediately or have test taken at their expense before continuing their stay. It is up to the Individual to provide documents of proof that no Alcohol or drugs have been taken during there stay at Harvest Rescue Mission Facilities. Any test that result in a positive outcome for Alcohol or Drug use, will result in suspension from Harvest Rescue Mission for a period of no less than a 2 weeks or a total ban from the property of Harvest Rescue Mission depending on the nature of the offence. Individual must show proof the he or she is drug free before entering back into Harvest Rescue Mission after suspension period has expired. Any Guest who is not a participant of these activities, but knowingly allows these activities to continue, is subject to suspension from Harvest Rescue Mission Facilities.
Harvest Rescue Mission Guest Rules
1. Guests are required to attend all church services. Services are held at the mission on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 7:00 PM. Local church is on Wednesdays and Sundays. · Guest should be ready for Wednesday evening service by 6:20PM. · Guest should be ready for Sunday morning service by 9:15 AM. · Guest should be ready for Sunday evening service by 5:00 PM. 2. Sleeping or wandering during church or mission services is grounds for dismissal. 3. Guests must take showers once a day. Shower will be limited to 5 minutes. 4. Guests should have beds made by 6:30AM each morning ready to leave mission premises. Note: Under certain weather conditions the staff of Harvest Rescue Mission may choose to leave the apartments open during the day for guests. 5. Guests are expected to leave mission property by 8:00 AM. During the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM returning guests are expected to be seeking employment or looking for permanent place of residence. 6. Guests may be at the mission at 5:00PM ready to check in at 5:30PM. 7. All guests are responsible for cleaning apartments. This means keeping bathrooms, living area, sleeping area and kitchen area clean. No trash or food items should be left accumulating in apartments that will spoil or draw bugs. Personal clothes must be kept neatly together. All cooking items will be washed and put away after each meal (pots, pans, dishes, forks, spoons, glasses, etc…). Stoves and Refrigerators must be kept clean. 8. Guests that check in to Harvest Rescue Mission and leave after eating a meal or taking a bath, will not be allowed back into the mission until a 60 day suspension period has passed. 9. Guests bringing alcohol or drugs onto the premises of Harvest Rescue Mission will may be discharged immediately from the property or turned over to the local authorities. 10. Guests may not ask the local church, church members or associates of Harvest Rescue mission for any help while staying at the mission. 11. Guests are responsible for their bedding, towels, and wash cloths that are issued to them and should return them to mission staff upon leaving. 12. Guests are required to be in the apartment by 6:00PM daily. Any guests not there by 6:00PM will be considered to have voluntarily left, and will not be allowed to return until approval by mission staff. The only exception is if the guest has employment that requires them to be at work during this period. Guests will be required to give employer’s name, phone number and address for verification that he/she is employed and working during that time period. 13. Guests are not allowed to have visitors in their assigned apartments or on outside apartment porches. Guest may visit with visitors off the premises of Harvest Rescue Mission as long as it is before 6:00 PM. Guests make asked mission staff for permission for extended stay with friends or relatives provide that the notify staff ahead of time. 14. Men and women guests are not allowed in each others apartment. The only exception is the evening meal or combined church services at Harvest Rescue Mission. 15. No smoking or tobacco use is allowed in apartments. Guests may smoke or chew tobacco products outside as long as cigarettes butts and chewing tobacco waste is clean up and disposed of properly. 16. No Pets are allowed at the mission (This is a rule by the Toccoa Housing Authority). No Exceptions. 17. Guests, whose personal items are left over 3 days at the mission upon their discharge or voluntary leaving, will be discarded as trash. It’s up to that individual to make arrangements to pick up those items before the 3 day time limit if he or she chooses to leave those items upon their exit from Mission property. 18. Thermostats for heating and cooling are set by the mission staff. Guests are not allowed to tamper or change those settings during their stay. 19. No eating in the sleeping area of the mission apartments. 20. No Smoking in vans or Liberty Baptist Church property. 21. No drinks or food items should be carried into the Liberty Baptist Church Building for adult guests. 22. Radios, stereos, and Illicit material (includes Songs, books, magazines, movies etc…) are strictly prohibited, and will result in dismissal from Harvest Rescue Mission. 23. Weapons are prohibited on Harvest Rescue Mission property. If there is any suspicion of weapon(s) being possessed by any guest on mission property, those individuals will be turned over to the local authorities. 24. Guests arguing with other guests, mission staff, or other mission associates will result in dismissal from mission property. 25. Guests are responsible for their personal property that may be of value. 26. Guests stealing mission property or Liberty Baptist Church property will be turned over to local authorities. 27. Any Guest who knowingly allows other guests to continue to break any of the rules above (without notifying mission staff), shall be subject to suspension from Harvest Rescue Mission Facilities. |
